A BERMUDA OCTOPUS TREE???????? SEEN ON MY WALK

I think that I should never see a poem lovely as a tree,
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed against the earth's
sweet flowing breast.........

After God created Adam, and Adam had been in the Garden for a really long time, he started to get a little lonely. So, Adam went to God and said, "This Garden is amazing, but I'm starting to get a little lonely; is there anyone that you can send to keep me company?"

God answered, "I have the perfect person. She will help you with almost everything. She'll clean, cook, wash you clothes, be your friend, and even rub your feet after a long day. She really is perfect in every way!"

Adam said, "That sounds great! How soon can you send her?"

God replied again, "I can send her right away, but there is one thing ... it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to get her."

Adam thought for a moment, and then said, "What can I get for a rib?"

LET'S LOOK BACK AT CALVARY AS WE LOOK FORWARD TO 2010

"AULD LANG SYNE" - This is a traditional Scottish song often sung on New Year's Eve. It means "Time Long Past." The words were handed down orally until 18th century poet Robert Burns wrote them down. The song begins: Should auld (old) acquaintance be forgot/And never brought to mind?/Should auld acquaintance be forgot/And auld lang syne? Should time long past be forgot. The Gospel song comes to mind: Lest I forget Gethsamane/Lest I forget Thine agony/Lest I forget Thy love for me/Lead me to Calvary. May the love of Christ poured forth at Calvary motivate us to live for Jesus in 2010.
